We accept virtually any precious metals, including gold, silver, and platinum. Be advised that platinum has the highest value, followed by gold, and then silver. The value of the gold will be based on a few factors, including karat value. It’s easy for you to figure out an approximate value of your jewelry by looking inside the band of a ring, or in any other inconspicuous place where the karate value will be inscribed. 24 karat is basically pure gold, but most jewelry will be less.
As metal refiners, we melt the gold down into its purest form, and send it on to be reused in new pieces. We eliminate the middleman metal refiner, allowing maximum profit to the charity of your choice. This method of recycling helps the environment by conserving natural resources, and reducing the demand for new gold, thereby decreasing the amount of detrimental gold mining.
The selection of charities with which we work is a lengthy process, in which we research all aspects of the organization to ensure that they are fully legitimate, and dedicated to their cause. We also try to provide a diverse selection of foundations so that anyone looking to donate can find a cause that is near and dear to their heart.
You will find a FedEx insured envelope in your DonatePak. After dropping your gold inside and sending it out, you can track the package all the way to the plant. Also, after receiving its donation, the charity of your choice will send you a tax deductible receipt, and you’ll receive your free vacation voucher, confirming that they received your generous contribution.
Yes we do. If they have any significant value, it will be added onto the payment the charity will recieve in your name.
We support a wide variety of foundations who all chare a common denominator: the determination to make this world a better place. We try to work with a varied selection so that everyone can find a cause that speaks to them. The charities we support work to prevent poverty and world hunger, provide aid to those recovering from natural disasters, fund research for deadly diseases, protect the environment, wildlife, and endangered species, aid families dealing with developmentally delayed and sick children, and a bevy of other causes.
